Long Distance Moving
Out-of-state and up-the-coast moves from North County, priced in writing after we see the house.
Long Distance
Escondido Signature Moving is the team of commercial movers Escondido offices, clinics and shops book when they can't afford a lost workday. We move after closing or over the weekend, set every desk to a labeled floor plan, and send your building the insurance paperwork a week ahead.
An office move that runs into Monday costs more than the movers do. Payroll still runs, the phones still ring, and patients still show up. So we plan it backward from the day you open. Ray walks the old space and the new one, counts the desks, files and printers, and asks who needs to be working first. Then every piece gets a colored tag that matches a room number on the new floor plan. The crew doesn't guess where the reception desk goes. It's on the plan.
We are the office movers Escondido managers call for each of these
Desks, cubicle panels, file cabinets, conference tables and the break room. Usually a Friday evening into Saturday.
Exam room furniture, file rooms and waiting rooms. Your equipment vendor handles the chairs and the X-ray; we move everything around them.
Fixtures, shelving, display cases and back stock, moved on a closed day so the doors reopen fast.
Pallet racking contents, workbenches, tool chests and shop stock for the business parks on the west side of town.
Old files, spare furniture and seasonal stock, each lot in its own storage vault. More on moving and storage.
Desks put back together, shelves leveled and chairs in place, so staff walk in and sit down.
A written estimate after a walk of both spaces, with a not-to-exceed price.
Commercial movers in Escondido charge about $1,800 to $3,500 to move a small office of five to ten desks in 2026, and $5,000 to $12,000 for an office of 20 to 40 people. Medical suites cost more because of file rooms and careful scheduling. After-hours work adds $20 per mover-hour.

| Office of 20 to 40 desks | 6 to 8 movers | Friday night to Sunday | $5,000 to $12,000 |
| Medical or dental suite | 4 to 6 movers | 1 to 2 days | $3,500 to $8,000 |

Start eight weeks out for any business relocation over ten desks. Week one, pick the move weekend and tell the landlords at both buildings. By week four, have the new floor plan with a number on every room. Two weeks out, staff pack their own desks into the crates we drop off. Moving night, the crew takes it from there.
Your IT person unplugs and plugs back in. We move what they've disconnected: monitors in padded bins, towers bagged and tagged, printers wrapped. We think a server rack should go with your IT vendor in their vehicle, and we'll tell you so even if it means less work for us.
Most office buildings and business parks want a certificate of insurance naming the owner and the property manager, plus set move hours and a reserved freight elevator. Tell us who to send it to and we'll have it there a week ahead. Last summer a building's manager called us at 9 p.m. on move night to check, and the paperwork was already on file.
Files move in lidded rolling carts, drawer by drawer, so folder order never changes. For medical and legal records, the carts stay closed and with the crew lead until they're rolled into the new file room. Desks and cabinets get moving blankets and stretch wrap. Every piece goes on an inventory sheet, and the 26-foot box truck backs right up to your dock. For costly equipment, full value protection is worth adding.
What to have ready before we roll up to the loading dock
One copy taped to each door in the new space, one with us.
Pick one person to answer the crew's questions on move night. Too many bosses slow a move down.
Old printers, broken chairs and files past their retention date shouldn't ride to the new space. Shred and recycle first.
Update your Google listing, your website and your mail forwarding. We've moved offices from Vista to San Marcos where the only thing that went wrong was a delivery sent to the old suite. If staff are moving house too, point them to our long distance moving page.
Yes. Most of our office moves start at 5 or 6 p.m. on a Friday and wrap up Saturday, so nobody misses a workday. Evening and Sunday hours cost $20 more per mover-hour. Saturdays during the day are billed at the regular rate, which makes a Saturday start the cheapest after-hours option.
A small office of five to ten desks moves in one evening with three or four movers. An office of 20 to 40 desks usually takes a full weekend with six to eight movers. Medical suites take one to two days because file rooms and exam rooms take careful packing and setup.
We recommend it. Each person knows what's in their desk and what they need Monday morning. We drop off plastic crates a week ahead, staff fill them and label them with their name and new room number, and we move the crates with the furniture. Shared spaces like the break room we pack ourselves.
Yes, at no charge. Send us the building's requirements, the names it should list, usually the owner and the property manager, and the email of whoever needs it. We'll send the certificate to both the old and the new building at least a week before the move, so the loading dock is ready.
Yes. If the new suite is still being built out, we can store desks, files and equipment in vaults at our warehouse and deliver them when the space is ready. Business storage is billed by the vault per month, and you can have a single vault pulled if someone needs their files back early.
Our driveway in Hidden Meadows scares delivery drivers. Ray came out, looked at the hairpin and said they'd bring the small truck and shuttle. Four loads, zero scrapes, beds made that night.
Moved my mom from the house she'd lived in for 40 years into a condo near Kit Carson Park. The crew labeled everything by her new floor plan and set up her bed and reading chair first. She was settled by dinner.
We moved our dental office over a weekend. Every crate was numbered to the new floor plan and the exam chairs were where we wanted them Monday at 8. Price was what they wrote down.
